"Universal Testing Machine" or someone
called "Tensile and Compression Tester" has been used to analyse the
physical properties of products in main purpose to indicated the "strength" of material. It has been used in wide range of products;
including, but not limited to: rubber, plastics, composites, textiles, metals, concrete, woods, electronics,
welded specimens, adhesives, medical products and components. There are many types of grips and attachments
can be used with this machine for many type of testing such as Tension, Compression, Flexural or Bending, Shear,
Friction, Tearing, Peeling and the others depended on test standards. The electromechanical type that suitable for low load testing
use precise motor to drive the crosshead along the lead screws and measure the indicated force by
"Load Cell" that generate the high accuracy of test results.
For high load testing, the suitable machine is hydraulic type. It use the hydraulic pump and valves to control piston in cylinder
up or down and load is measured by the pressure transducer. The hydraulic type require low-maintenance and easy to be operated.
